Located in Portland, Oregon the 20/20 Institute has helped thousands of patients in their desire to achieve visual freedom. We welcome all people around the world to our center, and we adjust our patients' care to fit with their travel schedules.
The 20/20 Institute welcomes people from outside Portland for LASIK to schedule a "Three-Day Appointment" which includes:
- Consultations on Wednesday or Thursday to determine candidacy
- LASIK procedure day following your consultation
- The 1-day follow-up appointment on the morning following your procedure.
You will then be able to drive (or fly) home either Friday or Saturday afternoon and return for a one-week follow-up appointment the following weekend, or even the Tuesday after if your vision is good. We can also help make arrangements for a 1 or 3-month follow-ups.
At the 20/20 Institute, our customer service begins the moment you contact our eye surgeon. We can help you arrange your hotel accommodations, which will include a special 20/20 Institute discount rate, if you are traveling from outside Portland. We want to ensure that your stay is not just comfortable and smooth, but enjoyable.
LASIK is so noninvasive a procedure that you can think of it as a vacation. In addition to the hotels available within a short distance of our center, there are many fine restaurants, cultural activities, and shopping to round out your stay in Portland.

Perpetuating your VIP experience throughout your entire journey with us is important to 20/20 Institute. To do that, we partner with area four-star hotels to make your stay in Portland as comfortable and pleasant as possible. The hotels are near 20/20 Institute and provide shuttle service to and from our doors for all appointments including the LASIK procedure and follow-up care.
