Laser Vision Correction

The eye is numbed with eye drops and the lid is gently held open to prevent blinking. An instrument called a microkeratome creates a thin flap from the outer corneal layers.

The laser is used to precisely reshape the remaining cornea beneath the flap. The patient experiences virtually no discomfort and usually takes less than one minute.

The flap is then repositioned and self-adheres within minutes. No stitches are required.
