Mark I. Golden, M.D. F.A.C.S., F.I.C.S.
Eye Doctor, Dr. Golden received his BA from the University of Chicago in 1977 and received the first-ever pre-doctoral Master’s Degree in Ophthalmology awarded by that institution. His doctorate degree was awarded at Saint Louis University in 1984. He continued his training in Saint Louis with internship and residency.
In 1988 he joined Eye Surgeons and Consultants, with offices in Chicago and Southern Wisconsin, specializing in small incision cataract surgery and treatment of diabetic retinopathy. In 1991 he became interested in refractive surgery and took the first course on the then new ALK machine followed by a fellowship in Houston. This technique was the precursor of LASIK. He has taught and proctored ophthalmologists in the technique of LASIK, nationally and internationally. He has lectured at Ophthalmology and Optometry meeting such as the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, International Society of Refractive Surgery, American Academy of Optometry, American Optometric Association, State of Washington Optometric Association, and the State of Wisconsin Optometric Association. He is a frequent teacher of local eye doctors, having given continuing education courses for many years.
Honors include board certification in Ophthalmology, Fellowship of the American College of Surgeons, The International College of Surgeons, and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Golden also holds the role as director of the Division of Ophthalmology for the International College of Surgeons and is a Vice President of that organization. He has been the medical and surgical director of several laser centers.
Eye Surgeon, Dr. Golden has restricted his practice to refractive surgery. He is experienced in the placement of Intacs (Intracorneal ring) for the correction of low amounts of nearsightedness. He has performed more than eighteen thousand refractive procedures. He is frequently asked by eye doctors to perform their eye laser procedures.
He is married, with a young son. He enjoys cooking, travel, scuba diving and finding new and exotic restaurants.
William Zeh, M.D.
Dr. Zeh is a Board-Certified Ophthalmologist and is fellowship-trained in corneal and refractive surgery. He pursued his undergraduate studies in genetics at the University of California, Berkeley and graduated from medical school with high honors from St. Louis University. Dr. Zeh was an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the St. Louis University Eye Institute, as well as a member of the clinical faculty at the Indiana University Department of Ophthalmology. He completed his cornea/refractive fellowship at Corneal Consultants of Indiana. He specializes in LASIK and has performed over 9,000 LASIK procedures.
Dr. Zeh has been a co-instructor on LASIK and refractive surgery at international ophthalmology meetings, and he has also authored and published articles for peer-reviewed scientific journals. He has given lectures on ocular surgery and therapeutics throughout the United States. Dr. Zeh has also been a consultant and speaker for several ophthalmic pharmaceutical companies. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, the International Society of Refractive Surgery, the Indianapolis Medical Society, and the Indiana State Medical Association.
Eye Doctor, Dr. Zeh lives in Indianapolis with his wife and children. His hobbies include bicycling, cooking, and computer graphics.
Diana L. Fisher, RN., OD.
Obtained her Registered Nurse degree in 1992 from Indiana State University. She worked as a Peripheral Vascular Intensive Care nurse and Team Leader for the Family Practice Residency program at St. Vincent Hospital. Dr. Fisher obtained her Bachelor of Optometry degree in 2002 and her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2004 from Indiana University- Bloomington. She graduated with Beta Sigma Kappa International Honor Society recognition.
Eye Doctor, Dr. Fisher has been in private practice in the Indianapolis area for the past 4 years providing primary optometry care, specialty contact lens fitting and LASIK co-management. She has lived in Indianapolis with her husband, daughter and two step-daughters for the past 15 years and recently celebrated the birth of their first grandchild.
Dr. Fisher is active in serving the community through her church and doing short-term optometry mission trips to Mexico and Haiti. She is active in her career through her membership in the American Optometric Society and the American Academy of Optometry.
Elizabeth Meyers
A native of Southern Indiana, Optometrist Elizabeth Meyers joined 20/20 Institute in 2009. She is a 1996 graduate of the prestigious Indiana University School of Optometry. Following graduation, Dr. Meyers relocated to Baltimore, Maryland as an optometric resident in primary eye care and ocular disease management, a program sponsored by Pennsylvania School of Optometry. During her residency, she attended grand round lectures in ocular disease at the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins Hospital and at Greater Baltimore Medical Center. Upon certification of her program, Dr. Meyers joined her residency practice as an associate optometrist. She continued to practice in Maryland for nine years providing comprehensive ocular exams, specialty contact lens fittings, dry eye treatment, diagnostic laser vision exams for candidacy determination, and surgical outcome reviews, as well as post-operative management of PRK, LASIK, cataracts, oculoplastics, and ocular laser treatments for glaucoma and diabetes.
In 2005, Dr. Meyers returned to Indiana to practice private optometry in the Indianapolis area. She continued to remain active in the management of laser vision correction and dry eye while providing annual vision and ocular health exams to her patients.
She began co-managing vision correction patients in 1995 shortly after FDA approval while still a student at IU. After over 20 years of dependency on glasses and contact lenses, she had LASIK herself in 1998 improving her vision from 20/400 to 20/20. She knows firsthand the life-changing effect vision correction can provide and enjoys helping others experience it as well.
Dr. Meyers is a member of the Indiana Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association, the Cornea and Contact Lens Section and Women of Vision. She resides in Avon with her husband and three children.
