Matthew K. Chang, M.D. | Denver Eye Surgeon
Originally from Chicago, Ill., Dr. Chang completed his undergraduate degree at Johns Hopkins University in 1992. He went on to become one of the first physicians to complete a joint degree in medicine and business administration at the renowned Medical Scholars Program at the University of Illinois. Dr. Chang completed his ophthalmology residency at the Kresge Eye Institute in Michigan, where he was elected chief resident in his final year.
After completion of his residency, Dr. Chang continued his education at the University of Arizona. His fellowship training focused on cornea, refractive surgery, and external disease. Eye doctor, Dr. Chang has conducted numerous research projects involving refractive surgery, cataract surgery, and microbiology involving the eye. He is actively involved in several current research studies and continues to be an active presenter at major ophthalmologic conferences throughout the country.
Dr. Chang worked in a large multi-specialty group in southern Wisconsin for two years, before moving to Colorado in 2005. Dr. Chang specializes in LASIK surgeries, corneal transplants, cataracts, glaucoma, and other anterior segment disorders. He has performed thousands of refractive procedures and is certified in nearly every new ophthalmic and refractive procedure and technologies.
