• LASIK candidates are nearsighted (myopic) or farsighted (hyperopic) with good overall eye health.
• LASIK candidates may or may not have astigmatism. With all the great advancements in technology, LASIK can easily correct astigmatism.
• LASIK candidates are 18 years of age or older. Generally speaking, it is important that your vision prescription be stable (stopped changing) for at least 1 year.
• LASIK candidates typically are not satisfied with wearing contact lenses or glasses and are motivated to make a change. Contact lenses are often uncomfortable and glasses are cumbersome limit convenience.
• LASIK candidacy is different for every guest and 20/20 Institute would never generalize your specific case.
